Dear Hiring Professional:

My name is Jessica Caldwell and I have had diverse experiences teaching both in the United States and China. I’m currently teaching at public school in Mississippi.  I am hoping to transition back to my home state of Georgia. It would be wonderful to be a part of a community of educators that works together toward the goal of life-long learning.

During my time at Yantai American School was able to grow as a professional. I completed several professional development programs and earned my certifications in both TEFL and AP English. In the spring of 2012 I was appointed the curriculum committee chair and led the school in its transition to the common core standards.

Most recently, my responsibilities as 6th and 7th ELA Teacher at Wiliams-Sullivan Elementary have taught me how to be a warm and strict classroom manager and leader.  My responsibilities included leading my professional learning community as the PLC chair and planning engaging lessons for my students.

I truly have a passion for teaching, and I know that I would be an asset to your program. I bring to the table not only my passion, but experience. As an educator, I hope to engage my students in learning and help them reach their full potential. Teaching is sometimes an uphill battle, and I measure my success upon “aha” moments. I live for “aha” moments when, after a few class periods, a student finally gets it and has that moment of “aha.” I would consider myself successful if I leave my students and school better than I found it. Thanks so much for your consideration.

On this website you will find my resume for your review and I look forward to speaking with you further regarding your available positions.

Jessica Caldwell
